This cache has a special meaning to me for two reasons. First and foremost, the message of, "Slow Down, Move Over", is very important and needs to be kept going, and it was my very first, {FTF} on 11/21/2016. I tried to contact the original CO to adopt it as they have moved on in their lives so I could keep it going with no luck, and it was archived. So here is the Redux that I felt should have the same message and tribute.
Below is the original description from the cache, GC6X8TK, I felt should be included.
A few miles up the road at mile marker 275.1 you will see a cross on a tree and probably some flowers on the milepost. These are to commemorate Todd S. Young, my stepfather, who lost his life there 5 years ago today (November 20th 2011). Todd owned a towing and auto service company. He was loved and respected by many for his ability to diagnose, fix and explain a problem with your car so that you could actually understand the problem. He was also stubborn and sometimes grumpy. He loved ice cream, our cats, his family and golf. Todd lost his life when a vehicle failed to move over while he was hooking up a broken down vehicle on the side of the thruway. This cache is placed here so that my fellow thruway-driving cachers are reminded to be safe in their cacheing and to please slow down and move over for emergency vehicles on the side of the road!
