This letterbox hybrid geocache is a part of the Trek Ten Trails seasonal program. Participation in that program, while a lot of fun, is not required to log this cache.
Participation game cards, maps, and other info is available the OUTPOST 27 CACHE. You can also visit our website Friends of the Parks or check out our Profile for more details.
For anyone not familiar with Letterboxing, there is a log in the cache for you to sign and stamp (with your stamp), then you stamp your own log or paper (with stamp that is in the cache). If you do not have your own stamp, you can just sign the log.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE STAMP WITH YOU; IT IS NOT A TRADE ITEM!!!

The 638-acre Bellini Preserve was acquired September 2023, as a result of a successful partnership between Polk County, Conservation Florida and Department of Defense, with funding assistance from Florida Department of Environmental Protection Resilient Florida - Implementation Grants. Polk County funding from the Stormwater MSTU was used to protect over 3 miles of living shoreline along Lake Marion and improve water quality in the Kissimmee Watershed. The property is home to sand skinks, a federally threatened species, and gopher tortoises, a regionally and state-designated threatened species. A variety of wildlife has been observed on the site including gators, bobcats, deer, turkeys and pileated woodpeckers. If you listen while you walk you may hear the animals moving about in the palmettos, as this is a great place for them to hide. Lake view loop is the second longest trail at the Preserve with a nice view of Lake Marion.
