St Oswalds Road
this cache is a sneaky micro, but obvious to the experienced geocachers eye. TWEEZERS RECOMMENDED. Pen needed.
Please keep in mind this is a residential area so try to be sneaky.
Just further down the road is St Oswalds Old Church, which dates back to the 12th century. Victims of the Black Death were buried here in 1349, and gravestones are still visible lined up against the walls. In the 1980s it was converted into a private dwelling so please don't enter the church grounds but at the entrance there are leaflets with information on the history of the church.

At the end of the road is a path down the fulford ings which is a great walk (when it's not in flood) and is covered in wildflowers in spring and summer and also a habitat for tansy beetles.

Happy caching!
