For as long as I can remember, I've always loved catching animals. Snakes, frogs, turtles, you name it. However, my favorite animal to catch has always been turtles, my dad used to take me when I was younger and showed me the ropes. It was mostly painted turtles and slider turtles, with some young snapping turtles every now and then. As I got older, I started to catch adult snapping turtles, something my dad was smart enough not to do, and something he still isn't totally on board about because it's obviously not the safest activity you can do. I have been safely catching, documenting, and releasing snapping turtles for a good few years now and although it isn't the smartest thing to do, when you know what you're doing it is safe for not only yourself but the turtles as well. This spot has a bunch of big snapping turtles in it, one turtle in specific is one of the biggest I've seen and I have still yet to catch him, hopefully one day I'll be able to see him up close. Not only does this spot have a ton of turtles in it, but is a great spot for a cache, and I figured it deserved one. This cache might be about the giant snapping turtles here, but the cache certainly isn't anything big.
