We love adventure and especially the woods. Alpha enjoys seeing where all the trails lead and Nancy, what can be found in the woods beside the trails. Grays Creek has a special place in our hearts since it contains one of the rare remaining raw woods in the Cornwall area.
Hawthorne Trees in particular, although non-native, have bright white flowers in the spring and numerous red mini apples in the fall. The cache is located in a beautiful Hawthorne Grove within the park. On windy days, and if the direction is right, the thorns scrape together sounding like Maracas.
Since the park is a conservation area it is important to respect the park rules. In particular, the park is closed at night. Dogs are welcome, but need to be on a 6 ft leash. Please review the Grays Creek website for other details.
