Sometime ago, I did my 12000th cache, on 10-8-2024, it landed up on a mountain, Rangitoto in Auckland.Rangitoto Summit Virtual Reward 4.0. I had some company too: rustynz, LittleBlackbird1 and supernannny. Together we took a ferry across the harbour and spent several hours climbing to the summit, placing caches, and having a good time. So it's way past time to get this milestone published, been on the backburner for a while. As usual this is somewhere around the Central Plateau, Mnt Ruapehu, Mnt Tongariro or Mnt Ngauruhoe, places I love to be.
You can drive pretty close to GZ if you're careful, but I have added parking co-ords as well. It's not a long walk by any means, but the last bit won't quite be smooth sailing, bit like my trip up Rangitoto. But you'll get there.
