I am delighted to be able to add to the Almshouses series of caches.
The headline coordinates will bring you to the Feoffee Alms Houses in Ampthill.
The Alms Houses were built in 1450 and renovated in 1998 to provide 7, 1 and 2 bedroom, cottages.
The cottages are availble to rent by needy elderly persons.
The Alms Houses are owned and administered by the Ampthill Feoffee Estate Charity.
Many thanks to DespicableP1 for researching and discovering that Feoffee means 'a trustee invested with a freehold estate to hold in possession for a purpose, typically a charitable one.'
To find the cache you will need to count the letters on the sign NEXT TO the gate.
