Sunflowers have been grown in North Otago since 1974 by a local company Topflite. During mid and late summer large paddocks are ablaze of bright yellow blooms and many locals and visitors come to view and take photos.
The crop is grown in a different location each year. In 2025 large fields of sunflower seeds were planted west of Airedale Road near Weston. The cache is not at the published coordinates which are amidst 1000's of plants. To find the cache location you will need to solve the jigsaw puzzle below to find the coordinates.
