今年の"25周年記念"にちなんでキャッシュを設置しました。
近辺には"25"にちなんだものがいくつかありますので、その写真をアニバーサリーキャッシュにアップしてもらえたらと思います。
キャッシュ設置時、私は少なくとも３つの"25"を見つけています。（内１つは一時的かもしれません）

「米惣」とは「米屋惣七」のこと。
明治3年（1870年）、彦根は悪天候が続き米も不作でした。
その上、台風が直撃し堤防が決壊したため、家々が押し流されました。
「米惣が池に汚物を投げ込んだから、池の龍が怒った。
それも米の値段を釣り上げて金儲けを企んだからに違いない」 という噂が領民の間で広がり、これを信じた領民数百人が惣七の店に押しかけて屋敷や家財道具を打ち壊しました。

"米惣" is pronounced "komeso".
"komeso" refers to "rice shop Soshichi".
In 1870 (Meiji 3), Hikone experienced a period of bad weather and a poor rice harvest.
On top of that, a typhoon hit directly and caused the levee to collapse, washing away houses.
A rumor spread among the people of the domain that "Komeso threw waste into the pond, angering the dragon in the pond.
He must have been trying to make money by inflating the price of rice." Hundreds of people believed this and stormed into Soshichi's store, smashing his house and belongings.
