Everett Area Haunted Mystery Cache.
To claim this cache you must complete several trials which will test your resourcefulness, skill and powers of observation. The physical container is hidden inside the building and the key to finding it is by looking at a large marble placard near the entrance at the corner of the building and entering the answer to this question in the certitude checker:
What is the last 4 digit year on the placard?

You can validate your puzzle solution with
certitude.
Once you find the container you will see that there are TWO locks you must figure out how to open to be able to sign the log and claim this cache. After locating the special container, you must find the combination to the first lock. The Library staff have created this puzzle to solve and get the combination to the first lock. You are not required in any way to interact with the library staff while getting this cache but they will assist you if you need any help. Additionally a very spoilery optional additional puzzle/hint is acessable via the outside of the container and will require you to think outside of the box and inside of a bug!!!
The puzzle to solve the outside lock combination:
CLUE #1: Going to Grandma’s house we must go over the river and through the woods. BEWARE the voice
shouting “Whose trip-trapping over my bridge,” booming from BELOW.
CLUE #2: Books. Books. And more Books. Books that are blue. Books that are new. Books that are a mystery.
Books full of duplicity. Books with romance. Books written freelance. Books. Books. Even more Books. Books with
FICTION AUTHORS with names from A TO Z.
CLUE #3: I am an HONOR. I am AWARDED for distinguished FICTION written by American Authors during the
award year, going back all the way to 1948. I can be found at 813.52P.
CLUE #4: I am a library! I am a home for books, but I’ve also been a home for other things. I have a home for a
family or two or three. I was built in 1863 by Jacob Barndollar Williams for his family to live in and grow in. A
doctor and his doctor son once called me their home. I was once even owned by Everett Cash Mutual Insurance Co.
In 1987, I was purchased to house the new library, where I had 3,595 patrons and 12,000 books to be read. I was
named the Jennie C. BAKER House, in memory of the Library’s founder. Whether I’ve been a home to families,
businesses or our beloved library, my heart can be found in my HEARTH, where I keep BAKING all my warmth
and love for my ‘home & family.’
CLUE #5: The world we know was once a very different place. A land covered in lush ferns and palm-like plants, a
massive salad bowl for the large herbivore dinosaurs, such as Diplodocus & Brachiosaurus, and an all you can eat
buffet for smaller, more vicious carnivores, like the Dilophosaurus. Or just a quick snack for the much larger
Allosaurus. The seas were teeming with life both large and small, from Ichthyosaurs to Plesiosaurs to Ammonites.
The Jurassic Period lasted from 201.4 mya (million years ago) to 145 mya, creating a world straight from our
imaginations.
Once inside you will find the final lock which holds the log. The solution to open the final lock is in this picture by answering these questions:
1. How many skulls do you see?
2. How many orange candles are lit?
3. How many candle flames burn on top of a table?

Difficulty and terrain rating is set as high as it can be so any basic member can participate. There is also no need to interact with the Library staff to complete this cache, but they are aware of the geocache and of the solution. You can only attemp this cache during business hours which are:
