Geocache Description:

This is the first, and original, Mexican Hat Geocache.

Located below Mexican Hat, near the San Juan River, this cache isn't too far off of the highway. we were able to drive to within a few hundred feet of the cache location with our Celica. but, I'd be careful if it's been raining.

The terrain isn't too steep, but you'll have to do a bit of scrambling to get to the cache.

Don't forget that you're in the desert. I always look under bushes and between rocks to make sure that there are no snakes with those scary sounding rattles on their tails before I reach in.

.30 caliber ammo can.

Make it easy on yourself by driving around the hat before you start walking to the cache.

Cache you later, Monty Wolf
