Geocache Description:

Blah Blah Blah Day is observed annually on April 17th.

According to some historians, the phrase "blah blah blah" is believed to have originated in ancient Greece from "bar bar bar".  This was derived from the sounds made by barbarians, considered to be meaningless  noises. Another theory is that "blah" may have originated from the word "blab", which came into common use during  The Great War meaning to reveal a secret. "Blah" was first used in writing in the 1918 memoir Wine, Women and War  written by Howard Vincent O'Brien, an American journalist. History was made when the National Weekly used a double blah in the March 1921 issue.  The term "blah blah blah" has increased steadily in usage since then, particularly after World War II.

Blah Blah Blah Day is all about appreciating the conversations that you otherwise might not pay attention to and begin listening.  It was first celebrated in 2006 and is a time to enjoy what others have to say.

It is noteworthy that at Geocaching events, those in attendance have been known to freely share anecdotes and advice with others.  Blah Blah Blah Day is tailor made for such an event and therefore those geocachers who can make it are invited to gather at the designated location for a hour or so of entertaining dialogue.

Long story short...Market Mall Food Court.  Thursday, April 17th at 10:30 am.  All are welcome.
