Geocache Description:

We love to hike! This is the fourth in a series of caches highlighting our favorite places to hike in the Olympia area.  We like out of the way spots of natural beauty where we can spend our Sundays or summer afternoons.  All in this series are trails which are easily accessible, not too long, and are easy for young people to do.

The fourth in this series is Tolmie State Park, a great spot for quiet walking and birding. Many people come to Tolmie because of its beach access and clamming, but there are lovely trails which wind through the woods also. There are two parking lots, the upper and lower lots, both could be used to reach the cache but the lower one has better access to the beach. A Discover Pass is required. Coords may be a little off due to poor cell service.

This trail is dog-friendly; but please observe the posted rules to protect wildlife.  Please stay on the trail so as to minimize damage to plant and animal life.  Cache is a small container, easily accessible from the trail itself. Enjoy!
