JOŽE VOLARIČ (1932 Banova Jaruga, Croatia – 2012 Kranj, Slovenia)

Throughout his professional career, Volarič worked as an apprentice, locksmith master, drilling master, technician, mechanical engineer, and professor of industrial pedagogy. He held various positions, including geological corrector, work standardization specialist, head of mechanical workshops at the Oil Production in Lendava, teacher and principal at the Secondary Technical School in Lendava, workshop manager, professor, and, for the last ten years before retirement, assistant principal at the Secondary Technical School in Kranj.

In the early 1970s, he began sculpting, creating over 2,000 iron sculptures, including several monumental pieces. Since 1992, he maintained a "Sculpture Garden" in front of his house in Kokrica, featuring more than 40 large sculptures. Some of these are now displayed in the memorial park in Kokrica near Kranj.
