Back in 2022 during a typical summer in Teller County, a fire sprung out. It was a relatively small fire, but it was still uncommon to have a uncontrolled blaze in Teller County, bringing memories of the High Chateau (2018) fire, Waldo Canyon Fire (2012) and even the Hayman Fire (2002)
Adventuring out on these BLM roads brought me to the scars left here, which adds a neat contrast with nearby Booger Red Hill, Mt Pisgah, and other further mountain ranges.
The road access is not maintained, and is rocky at some points, I did this with my truck which has 10" of clearance just fine. If you decide to walk it's nearly a 2 mile walk.
