The Area
The lake was created in 1929 when a dam was built where the Ghost and the Bow Rivers meet. It was originally known as Dead Man's Lake due to a legend of a ghost haunting the lake and the area.
The legend says that a ghost would prowl the valley by the river and collect the skulls of Blackfoot natives who lost in battle with Cree warriors.
Ghost Hydroelectric Dam
There's a 51 MW power plant here that regulates the flow with plans to move this down river with an even larger resevoir. Check out the dam during the flood of 2013!

Tokyo Drift
Now for the interesting part. This area is a popular desitnation for "car drifters" in the winter months. It's amazing what these machines and drivers can do. Here's some video footage.

What kind of car would you like to "drift" in?
