Beach Clean Up #2 Cache In Trash Out® Event

This cache has been archived.

xxxVCxxx: This event would be automatically archived in a couple of days anyway by GCHQ, but I think everyone who attended has logged it - there are just so many names in the logbook. If you attended both this event and the CITO (GCB34EN), but haven't logged them, you can still do so after they've been archived.

BEACH CLEAN UP #2

WHERE: Under Palace Pier (East Side), Madeira Drive, Brighton, East Sussex, BN2 1TW

Following a successful CITO here in 2023 (GCA3N4A GAGB 2023: Beach Clean Up), it is time to hold another CITO to clear away any rubbish that others may have been leaving at the start of the Bank Holiday Weekend. With kind permission from Brighton & Hove council, this event can be hosted to pick up litter along the beach area. Previous experience is not necessary as full instructions will be given at the start. Please be prompt for the health and safety briefing at the beginning if you have never attended a CITO before.

Parents will need supervise their children at all times.

Please bring your own (if you have) gardening gloves, litter picker, hi-vis vest/jacket and wear old clothes/waterproofs that are suitable for day's weather and sturdy boots as the area we will be working on is uneven and can get very steep. However, litter pickers, bags and hi-vis jackets are also available to borrow.

There are plenty of buses are available (12 Coaster, 12A Coaster, 12X Coaster, 14 & 27) and nearest railway station is Brighton (19 minutes walk)
