Amazing Eau Claire CITO At Mt Simon 2025 Cache In Trash Out® Event

Come join many of your fellow geocachers on Saturday, April 19.

Celebrate The 17th Annual “The Amazing Eau Claire Clean-Up." 

The event, organized by Eau Claire Parks, Recreation, and Forestry, sends volunteers to assigned locations throughout the city including community parks, neighborhood playgrounds, picnic areas, recreational trails, and downtown to pick up litter.   Geocachers will for the fifth year be at the Mt Simon Park as part of the city wide clean up.

Gather by the Mt Simon Park Pavilion and grab a trash bag, provided by the Parks Department. Then head out to the park in search of trash, CITO and geocaching.

Our event starts at 9:00 am and will conclude with the collection of trash back at the Pavilion at 12:00 pm.

Schedule:

0900:  Meet briefly at the pavilion for snacks and water.  (Sorry no coffee, but you can bring your own.)  The city is providing garbage bags, T-shirts, snacks, water bottles, and coupons from donors which will be available first come, first served. You should bring your own gloves.

0915 - 1100:  Groups will get different assigments to clean up diferrent areas of the park, including a group needed to climb the hill to Top Of The World, and a group needed to go where the teens jump into the water.  The other areas include the nearby boat ramp area and disc golf area and the nearby softball fields up the hill.

1100: Return to the shelter for a group photo.

1100 - 1200: Clean up remaining areas, if any.

Please note that ir is required by the event sponsor, the City of Eau Claire, for all participants to sign up for this both on this geocaching page, and on the link provided below. The city wants all participants to sign up in advance, in part to get your size for the free T-shirt.
