The Granita Lady...redo!
This cache was placed in the summer of 2020, when global travel came to a halt due to the pandemic. It serves as a tribute to vicarious travel, inspired by Positano, Italy—often called The Vertical City.
Imagine the heat of southern Italy as you stroll along cobblestone streets toward the beach. You pass charming boutiques, espresso bars, street artists, and majolica shops. The sun beats down, making the sight of a cart selling lemon ices a welcome relief.
A favorite stop is The Granita Lady’s cart, where she serves her homemade Limone di Granita. In Positano, lemons grow to an impressive 4–5 inches long, bursting with sweet citrus flavor. Granita—a refreshing blend of fresh lemon juice, water, and a touch of sugar—is the perfect treat on a hot summer day.
