Juicy Fruits was a keen Golden Bay geocacher a few years ago. She showed us many places that were worth visiting that we would otherwise have missed. This is one such place that has stayed with me ever since she brought me here about 10 years ago.
Her cache was a letterbox and was called "The Optimist" so it seemed appropriate to replicate that hide.
The published coordinates will take you to the entrance to the camping and yacht club areas. The cache is hidden at
S40 49.492 E172 53.800. The hint is "up, but not at the top".
Do watch out for prickles and pointy twigs.
