Ruins of a former mining town, follow the trails around to all the buildings.

Characteristics:
Industrial complex of a manganese mine on the border of the former plantations Lagoen and Zevenbergen. Construction method comparable to oldest buildings of Nieuwpoort. Complex consisting of three buildings, a terrace and walls. Main building with rectangular floor plan, two storeys and gabled roof covered with red English tiles. Smaller building on a rectangular floor plan with two storeys and a gabled roof. Cistern next to rectangular large hall of one storey, both with gabled roof. At some distance southeast, on either side of a large dam, remnants of buildings that were part of the mining activities.

Ensemble value because of the coherence between the structures and the former manganese mining; architectural, cultural-historical and ethnographical value as a rare industrial complex; architectural-historical value because of the rare building materials and methods.
