My family and several friends travel to Moab every February. We decided to solve some puzzle caches to find during our visit. We were surprised to see there were very few available here. So we decided to place one! Below are some photos taken in and around Moab.

A 0 Moon Flower Canyon
1 Willis Creek canyon
2 Ice Box Canyon
3 Grandstaff Canyon
If you hiked this canyon in February 2021, you may have spotted these ice flows just off the main trail. This canyon was renamed in October 2017 to its current name, while still honoring person for who it was originally named.

B 3 Butterfield Tunnel
4 Tusher Tunnel
5 Honerine Tunnel
6 Mascotte Tunnel
An interesting geological feature. A crack in the rock allowed water to erode a tunnel from one side of the cliff to the other. You may want to bring a flashlight as it can get quite dark!!
C 7 Uintah Mountains
8 Rocky Mountains
9 Oquirr Mountains
0 La Sal Mountains
This mountain range is visible from Moab and Arches NP. These are part of the Manti-La Sal Mountain range and the forest habitat here is home to densest Black Bear population in Utah.

D 1 Horse and Lion
2 WTH? Drawings by a very creative person
3 Cameraffe and two headed dog
4 Petroglyph of unknown critters
These unusual Petroglyph can be found along the trail, after climbing the hill at the Spyder Jeep Trail Head. You can also see dinosaur footprints on this trail-they are between two vertical rock slabs and are little hard to see.

E 5 Landscape Arch
6 Skull Arch
7 Mesa Arch
8 Jughead Arch
This unusual rock formation is way above your head in the Fiery Furnace, a fun and challenging hike which requires a permit. Check in with the Arches Visitor Center early to sign up for your permit! Bring plenty of water and snacks as it could be a long day.

F 0 Scenic view across the Colorado River
1 Utah Lake
2 Ken's Lake
3 More red rocks…
While viewing the many Petroglyph along Potash Road (a must see), look across the River and on a sunny, blue sky day, you may see this lovely view or a slightly different version. There are also more interesting Petroglyph over on that side as well.

G 4 Astra Towers
5 Utah Monolith
6 Trump Tower
7 Fisher Towers
A fun and challenging hike which will make you feel tiny! A series of towers formed of Cutler Sandstone capped with Moenkopi Sandstone and caked with red mud. Full of beautiful views, this hike ends at an overlook of the valley below. You may even see some brave climbers on ropes on the tippy-top of these towers at 900+ feet.

H 8 Ancient Art
9 The Bear
0 Not another Petroglyph
1 Many Rams
This panel is located right of the side of Potash Road (Hwy 279). This panel tells the story of three hunters who took down a bear with bows and arrows, they are tiny compared to the bear or maybe they are far away. (Oh wait, I gave away the answer . . .)

I 2 Mill Creek Waterfall
3 Glory Falls
4 The Swimming Hole
5 The Waterfall
This is a lovely destination in the summertime, as this waterfall empties into the swimming hole. You will likely get your feet wet as this trail meanders over the river several times. There are some unusual Petroglyphs on the low cliffs above the river along the trail.

J 6 Delicate Arch
7 Corona Arch
8 Surprise Arch
9 License Plate Arch
Due to its distinctive shape, this arch was known as the "chaps" and/or the "Schoolmarm's Bloomers" by local cowboys. One of the most well-known Arches of over 2000 in the park. It is one of the largest free standing in the park; the inside opening measures 46 feet tall by 32 feet wide.
