Med Škofjo Loko, Kranjem in Medvodami, med Soro, Savo in železico, tam se nahaja Sorško polje, polno drobnih kotičkov, katere ne opazimo, ali pa gremo mimo njih.
En takšen simbol je kapelica Marije Pomagaj, ki se nahaja na ravninskem delu poti med Jeprco in Kranjem.
Gremo najprej malce zgodovine slike Marije Pomagaj.
Slika je ena najbolj poznanih v Sloveniji, če ne celo najbolj poznana. Predvsem kristjani jo poznajo po romarskem središču Bazilike Marije Pomagaj na Brezjah. Naslikal jo je Leopold Layer, ki se je tudi podpisal na zadnji del slike, vendar ni pripisal letnice nastanka.
In kaj se dejansko vidi na sliki? Pa poglejmo bolj natančno:
Tam je upodobljena Mati Božja v sedečem položaju in z Detetom Jezusom v naročju..
Ozadja ni, oz. je nevtralno.
Marijin obraz in pogled sta obrnjena nekoliko na levo, vendar neposredno proti gledalcu, Tako da ja, Marija vas gleda.
Z rokama nežno drži golega Jezusa, on pa jo gleda. Kar ponavadi ne vidimo, je to, da je Jezus dejansko naslonjen s svojim obrazon na Marijino lice.
Jezus se ji z levo roko oklepa za vrat, z desno pa jo dejansko boža po licu.
Jezus stoji na svoji levi nogi, s katero se odriva iz Marijine leve noge.
Oba obraza zaznamuje blag prijazen nasmešek.
In kar tudi ponavadi ne opazimo, je to, da glavi pokriva enotna bela prosojna tančica.
Zaradi svoje milostne podobe matere je ta slika velikokrat uporabljena v kakšnih kapelah, cerkvah, kužnih znamenjih in ostalih verskih objektih.

One of these symbol is the chapel of Mary Help, located on the flat part of the road between Jeprca and Kranj.
Let's first go a little bit over the history of the painting of Mary Help.
The painting is one of the best known in Slovenia, if not the best known. It is mainly known to Christians from the pilgrimage center of the Basilica of Mary Help in Brezje. It was painted by Leopold Layer, who also signed the back of the painting, but did not attribute the year of its creation.
And what is actually seen in the painting? Let's take a closer look:
The Mother Mary is in a sitting position with the Jesus in her arms..
There is no background, or rather, it is neutral.
Mary's face and gaze are turned slightly to the left, but directly towards the viewer. So yes, Mary is looking at you.
She gently holds the naked Jesus with her hands, and he looks at her. What we usually do not see is that Jesus is actually leaning his face against Mary's cheek.
Jesus is holding her neck with his left hand, but with his right hand he is actually caressing her cheek.
Jesus is standing on his left foot, which he is using to push off Mary's left leg.
Both faces are marked by a gentle, friendly smile.
And what we usually don't notice is that her head is covered by a white translucent veil.
Because of its gracious image of a mother, this image is often used in chapels, churches, plague signs, and other religious objects.
