Makorori is one of our favourite beaches - a great place to swim, walk, surf and picnic. Just down the hill there is a freedom campimg area, for self contained vehicles, if you should want to stay the night.
This car park can be busy with surfers checking out the surf conditions, so a straightforward hide that we hope won't get muggled.
