Welcome to Nagoya Castle!
Nagoya Castle, Nagoya's most famous landmark, is a major tourist attraction that attracts more than 2 million visitors every year and over 350,000 foreign tourists annually. When the wooden restoration of the Honmaru Palace was unveiled in 2018, it continues to reign supreme in Nagoya in terms of recognition and expectations.
On May 14, 1945, the castle tower, Honmaru Goten, and other major buildings were destroyed in the Nagoya air raid during the war. After the war, the castle tower was reconstructed as a steel-framed reinforced concrete structure in 1959 with generous donations from citizens (currently closed). The Honmaru Goten was reconstructed using traditional construction methods based on documents and measured drawings from the Edo period, and the gorgeous and gorgeous appearance of the past has been restored, with artisanal techniques evident throughout.

名古屋随一の名所「名古屋城」は毎年200万人以上が訪れ、年間35万人を超える外国人観光客で賑わう一大観光地です。2018年に木造復元された「本丸御殿」が公開されると、名古屋の認知度・期待値で堂々1位に君臨し続けています。
巨大な天守閣（現在）と金のシャチホコ：通称「金シャチ」が有名で、近世城郭の到達点として高く評価され、城郭として国宝第一号にも指定されていました。
1945年5月14日、戦争による名古屋大空襲で天守閣、本丸御殿などの主要建造物が消失。戦後、天守閣は市民の多大な寄附により1959年（昭和34年）に鉄骨鉄筋コンクリート造の建造物とし再建されました（現在閉館中）。本丸御殿は、江戸時代の文献や実測図などから、伝統工法を用いた復元され、匠の技法が随所にみられる絢爛豪華な往時の姿が蘇りました。
