“Arbusto ardente"
Moisés, ao buscar pasto para suas ovelhas no monte Horebe, viu um arbusto que ardia sem se queimar. Aproximando-se, ouviu a voz de Deus, que lhe ordenou tirar as sandálias e revelou que ele deveria libertar os israelitas da escravidão no Egito. Moisés, surpreso, questionou como seria possível, e Deus lhe disse para se apresentar como enviado de Jeová, o Deus de Abraão, Isaque e Jacó. Moisés duvidou da aceitação dos israelitas, mas Deus lhe mostrou três milagres: transformar uma vara em serpente, fazer sua mão se tornar leprosa e curá-la, e outros sinais que convenceriam o povo. Moisés então retornou ao Egito, após pedir permissão a Jetro.

"Burning bush"
Moses, while looking for pasture for his sheep on Mount Horeb, saw a bush that was burning but not consumed. As he approached, God spoke to him from the bush, telling him to remove his sandals because the ground was holy. God revealed that He had seen the suffering of His people in Egypt and wanted Moses to lead them out. Moses hesitated, questioning his ability, but God reassured him to say that he was sent by Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. When Moses doubted they would believe him, God showed him three miracles: turning his staff into a serpent, making his hand become leprous and healing it, and other signs. Moses then returned to Egypt after receiving permission from his father-in-law, Jethro.
