Die Eibe ist die älteste und schattenverträglichste Baumart Europas. Die Sträucher können hier bis max. 5 m groß werden, so dass sie schon als kleine Bäume gelten. Hier im Stadtforst haben sie keine wirtschaftliche Bedeutung.
