Red Barn on the Prairie
Location: Six Mile Marsh Prairie Trail
I was out on the Prairie on a chilly winter day and had my gear spread out on the nearby bench and was exploring the Red Barn, and the signs and history about it, when I here a hello behind me. I turn around and there was Hal-oween. She wondered if I was following the new Adventure Lab? I said nope, I was figuring out some details for a new hide. Changed plans and finished the new adventure lab with her, and then finished hiding a new cache.
Enjoy a nice "stroll" along this new trail near St. Bonifacius, MN. You can access this area either off the Dakota Rail Regional Trail, or from a trail head off of Halstead Drive.
Once in the Prairie, stay on the trails and aim for the Red Barn. At the posted coordinates you should be at a giant RED beacon. You will need to examine the information signs on that big red beacon and gather some information.
Gather info from the signs on the RED BARN.
Answer the following questions:
- A = Year; Era of Modern Agriculture minus (-) 1128
- B = Year; Water Conservation minus (-) 1729
Now for some quick and hopefully simple math.

Check Sum for stage one = 1040
That is it, now head to the Final.
You do not need to leave any trails as you hike around.
