伊予灘に面して南北約2kmにわたって続く砂浜に、みごとな枝ぶりのクロマツの老木が並ぶ風光明媚な海岸で、日本の白砂青松100選に選定されています。
夏になると海水浴場としてにぎわいを見せ、奈多・狩宿海水浴場（なだ・かりしゅくかいすいよくじょう）は快水浴場百選にも選定されています。
売店、シャワー室といった施設を備えており、例年、7月中旬から8月中旬まで利用することができます。
海岸線のほぼ中央には、神亀6年（729年）に創建されたと伝えられる八幡奈多宮があります。【大分県観光情報公式サイトより引用】
It is selected as one of Japan's 100 white sand Cheongsongs for its scenic beach lined with beautiful branching old black pine trees on the sandy beach, which stretches for about 2km north and south facing Iyotan.
In summer, Nata and Karijuku beaches are popular as beaches, and Nada and Karishukusui Ikujo have been selected as the 100 best bathing baths.
It is equipped with facilities such as a kiosk and a shower room, and is usually available from mid-July to mid-August.
