The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail wanders along winding scenic roads and rolling hills on the Western Side of the Shawnee National Forest. It will bring you to unique small towns, outdoor adventures among sandstone bluffs and surprising history. Shawnee Hills is the only Federally designated wine grape growing region in Illinois because of how its special soil and climate affect the grapes. This Winery was established in 2005 here in the hills of the Shawnee. The current owners have worked the older vines, enlarged the vineyard and welcomed multi-generational visitors for over 10 years. No need to enter the business. Wander the vineyard and around the large pond filled with Koi, turtles, and other wildlife. Pets are welcome.
