Geocache Description:

Mark your calendars!  We've planned another series of CITO events in Corvallis!

Back in 2023, we partnered with Corvallis Parks and Recreation and held a series of hugely successful CITO events at several Corvallis parks.  They were so appreciative of the volunteer efforts of the local geocaching community .. they rely heavily on volunteers to keep the parks clean and the trails groomed.

In 2025, we will again be partnering with Corvallis Parks and Recreation, with our efforts focusing on the Crystal Lake Sports Complex.  We have in plan to host three different CITO events this year:

  • CITO #1: Saturday March 15, from 10am - 11:30am (GCB2D6J)
  • CITO #2: Saturday May 31, from 10am - 11:30am (GCB3VHY)
  • CITO #3: Saturday July 19, from 9am - 10:30am (TBD)

There is plenty of parking available at the event location.  We will meet at the posted coords promptly at 10am, where we will be asked to sign a waiver form, will hear about the work needing to be done, and then will head off to where the work areas are located.  Please don't be late .. if you are, there may not be anyone at GZ to direct you to where the work is being done!

Corvallis Parks and Recreation will provide gloves, trash bags, pruners and trash grabbers .. please plan on bringing any water or snacks you might need.  And come dressed for the weather .. it is Oregon, so it could be a beautiful day, or it could be raining buckets!

Since we most likely will be doing pruning and cleanup along some of the trails in the park, it can sometimes be muddy and slippery .. so be prepared .. and be careful!!

Hope to have another great turnout!

Note on the unique cache name; we have a geocaching friend who needs a CITO beginning with the letter 'U' .. thus, the unique spelling for the word "another" wink
