Geocaching Nemesis
We've all got one, right?
Whether it's the tree climbing cache and you're not confident in your arboreal skills, or those pine tree hides that you can never seem to find.
Maybe your geocaching nemesis is spiders, or reaching into dark holes in downed trees.
My nemesis is a little different. Mine is St Paul Parks and Rec Forestry Department. They've destroyed two of my caches over the years.
One was not far from here and was a simple puzzle cache with the container in a hollow tree; at least it was until Forestry decided to take down all the trees in the area. This cache had a good run, but I was sad to see it disappear.
The other was in a neighborhood park, and that cache barely lasted two weeks before it was gone, and the tree with it.
Well, Forestry can't take this one down.
I sure got that wrong.

Barely a month after I set up this cache, they took down the beacon that I was using as the starting point. It was deteriorating and big chunks were falling off so they removed it for safety.
St Paul Forestry continues to be my Nemesis!
I have retooled the info needed but the starting location is still the same. Look at the sign on the building and ignore the numbers on it.
