Geocache Description:

Start time: 12:00 Noon

End time: 2:00 PM

Mallala is located on the Adelaide Plains, 62 kilometres north of Adelaide and is easily accessible from all points of the compass.

The plain can be roughly divided into three parts. The southern area is now covered by the city of Adelaide. The central area is considered the breadbasket of SA with many market gardens and wineries, particularly around the towns of Virginia and Angle Vale. The northern area is predominantly used for growing cereal grains such as wheat, barley, and canola, and farming sheep.

Such a diverse landscape lends itself to a variety of caches and power trails, and with a plethora of dirt roads, this would make an ideal opportunity to explore whilst the weather (heat) moderates and before rains make the roads more ‘interesting.’

I have booked a table in the outside, undercover courtyard.

Note:

All are welcome. You can stay the entire time, or just pop in for a minute.

Eating and drinking is optional (however please consider supporting local business!).

Disclaimer: the ex-brother-in-law runs the pub, but there is no benefit received.
