The site of an early 12th century Norman Motte and Bailey castle built on top of a deposit of a massive glacial drift. Thought to be built by Robert de Umfraville, a kinsman of William the Conquerer.
Tip: Use a dry piece of grass or rush to get the log scroll out of the cache!
