Geocache Description:

We will be updating as we go and add the rest of the events as they publish.

There will be all new caches at the Lake for the event.

We will load your GPS'r with all the new caches, we have put out for the event.  Please bring your cables just in case we do not have the one you need.  There is no internet or phone service in 99% of the Lake.  GPS'r are highly recommended.

Friday and Saturday night at Cabin 13 usually has a big fire going with cachers relaxing and sharing stories.  (You might get hints on where to find a cache you could not find that day).  The fire will probably be going all day Saturday the Sunday morning at Cabin 13.  You will need to bring your folding chairs and if you want to you can bring snacks and drinks to relax around the fire.  There are usually cachers still there till about 10pm, depends on the weather and if they still have stories to tell.

There will be a Gadget Cache Competition

Gadget caches are to be set up by 9 am Saturday morning at Cabin #13.  Caches need to be removed between 2 and 4 pm Saturday.

Entries will be assigned a number.  Each registered geocaching name can cast one vote for their favorite gadget cache between 9 am and 2 pm.  A traveling trophy will be presented to the winner at 3:30 pm when we get back together for the prize drawing and group pictures at Cabin #13.  The trophy is to be returned to the SEIowa team at the start of the following years event.

The winner of each year's competition is encouraged to host the following year's competition and may not compete in that year's competition.  Repmul will be hosting the 2025 competition.  Let him know if you have questions Repmul@gmail.com or if you require power.

Everyone is invited to participate in the gadget cache competition.  The gadget cache has to be made by you.   No entry is too big or too small or too complex.  Non-participants can enjoy the caches and sign the logs.

About gadget caches:  A gadget cache is a type of field puzzle.  It may involve mechanical or electrical assemblies or puzzles that require some activity to gain access to the log.  When designing a gadget cache, keep safety (sharp edges, pinch points, voltages, etc.) in mind and remember children will be using them.

When you log your "will attend" please put down how many people in your group so we can buy enough food for the weekend.  If you do not plan on eating one of the meals please put that down too.
