This geocache is placed nearby to Cowes Harbour and beach promenade set back on the corner of Bath Road. With fantastic views of the comings and goings of vessels across the solent near and far to be enjoyed. There is a town council information board close by with a map of places to visit along with other very interesting local information boards to check out and a copule of telescopes. Nearby you have the Royal Yacht Squadron and when passing this leads you to the beach promenade taking you to Gurnard.
Cowes is renowned as the world’s most famous sailing destination. It hosts an unequalled number of yacht racing events every season including Cowes Week, the highlight of the British yacht racing calendar, and the Round the Island Race, one of the world’s largest participatory events.
As for the cache iself, it is a small/medium clipbox container tucked away with room for geoswag and trackables. Pencil is included but probably best to bringing your own pen. There is a bench close by which could be handy to have a sit before swooping in for a search at gz and also to sign the logbook. It is placed close to the bandstand but without the need enter. The cache location should (in theory) make it accessible even during Cowes Week. The area in general will get pretty busy in the spring/summer months so stealth will be required. Please replace as found and tucked away.

The parking waypoint is next to the cache but will get busy. Other parking could be found alongside the beach promenade and further towards Gurnard or in the town itself.
