When I first began geo-caching over a decade ago in 2012, one of my first finds ever was ThePatts2010 's cache "Kingston Town Green". The cache itself has gone missing and archived since. This new cache has been placed in the same area as the previous in rememberence, however, in a slightly different, but similiar, hiding spot.
The Kingston Town Green is location to a Civil War veteran's memorial site and sits opposite to Evergreen Cemetery and First Parish Church. Nearby is the Beal House, a place for small gatherings, the Old Town Hall, now renovated into a family home, the Kingston Public Library and The Faunce School, originally known as Centre Primary School, constructed in 1844.
ThePatts2010:
"Before the Town of Kingston became as popular as it is nowadays, this was once the center of attention.
To the North is Evergreen Cemetery, to the East is the Old Town Hall, further East is the Public Library, to the West is the Beal House, and nothing interesting to the immediate South.
Close to the cache, also sits a Civil War Monument which is maintained by the local Scouts."
PARKING: Please do not park at the "Old Town Hall" building- this has been re-created into someone's home. Please do not park on the side of the road. Please park at a nearby location (as permitted) such as The Kingston Library, the Faunce School, The Beale House, etc. and make the walk. Please do not tresspass beyond the fences around the Old Town Hall as this is considered residential property.
Congrats to @Cyclegirl17 on FTF on 3/14/25!
