[DE] Gut versteckt und nur über einen unbefestigten Fußweg erreichbar führt hier ein eiserner Steg über die Isen. Über ihn verlief die kürzeste Verbindung vom Weiler Hof nach Schwindegg. Da der Steg offensichtlich kaum mehr benutzt und gewartet wurde, musste ihn die Gemeinde jetzt aus Sicherheitsgründen sperren. Wer hierher kommt, findet ein idyllisches Plätzchen und deutliche Biber-Aktivitäten wie eine Rutsche in den Fluss und Fraßspuren.
Für diejenigen, die die Cache-Serie "Im Isental von Bahnhof zu Bahnhof" machen, liegt diese Dose etwas abseits. Der Hin- und Rückweg von der direkten Strecke beträgt ca. 1 km. Doch der Umweg lohnt sich und ist vor allem Fahrradfahrern sehr zu empfehlen.
Zum Cache: Er liegt auf der Süd- (Schwindegger) Seite ist leicht vom Ufer erreichbar. Weder die Brücke noch die (steile!) Uferböschung müssen betreten werden.
[EN] Well hidden and only accessible via an unpaved footpath, an iron footbridge leads over the river Isen. Once it was the shortest connection from the hamlet of Hof to Schwindegg. As the footbridge had obviously hardly been used or maintained for many years, the municipality had to close it for safety reasons. Anyone who comes here will find an idyllic spot and beaver activities such as a slide into the river and feeding tracks.
For those who are doing the cache series "In the Isental from station to station", this cache is a bit off the beaten track. The round trip from the direct route is about 1 km. But the detour is worth it and is highly recommended, especially for cyclists.
About the cache: It is on the south (Schwindegg) side and is easily accessible from the river bank. Neither the bridge nor the (steep!) embankment need to be stepped on.
