Geocache Description:

The Wizarding World Geocache Series

"Upon the signature of the International Statute of Secrecy in 1689, wizards went into hiding for good. It was natural, perhaps, that they formed their own small communities within a community."

— The secrecy surrounding the wizarding world

The Wizarding World, also referred to as the magical community, is the society in which wizards and witches live and interact, separate from non-wizarding society. The two communities are kept separate through the use of charms, spells, and secrecy. Wizards and witches are forbidden to reveal anything about magic to Muggle society due to the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, but that does not mean that the two worlds live entirely apart.

Welcome to Wiltshire

"The gates swung open, even though no one had touched them, and the Snatchers marched their prisoners through them and up the drive, which was flanked by high hedges that muffled their footsteps. He saw a ghostly white shape in the distance, and realized it was a peacock. He stumbled and was hauled upright... his hands tied in front of him, his heart thumping with a dull, heavy rhythm."

- A wizard's first impression of Malfoy Manor

Malfoy Manor is the ancestral home of the Malfoy family. It is a large, opulent, and "handsome" manor house that serves as a physical representation of the family’s wealth and pure-blood status.

Wrought-iron gates allow visitors to pass through as if walking through "smoke" once a wizard identifies themselves. A long, sweeping driveway lined with high, neatly manicured hedges lead to the front door. Albino peacocks roam the grounds, a detail meant to showcase the Malfoy's opulence and vanity.

The house, cold and imposing, is filled with expensive but unwelcoming decor. The Entrance Hall is a large, dimly lit room with a magnificent carpet. The walls are covered in portraits of grim-faced ancestors that follow visitors with their eyes. The Drawing Room features a long, polished wooden table and a marble fireplace with a gilded mirror above it. A dark, damp Cellar (Dungeon) is located beneath the drawing room. It is accessed via a trapdoor and a steep flight of stairs. It is rumored to have once held both Dark artifacts and prisoners.

This is a Bonus Cache. To obtain the final coordinates, you must first find the Traditional geocache GCAX597 Number 12, Grimmauld Place and retrieve the coordinates from the logsheet.
