Geocache Description:

穗花新村是广州市海珠区昌岗街道的一个成熟居民社区，始建于20世纪80年代，位于江南西商圈北侧，与江南花园、杏园小区等老社区共同构成连片居住区，是海珠老城区居住功能与市井文化的代表性片区。

穗花新村所在区域曾是广州纺织厂、机械厂集中地，在20世纪80年代工厂外迁后，这里逐步开发为职工宿舍与商品房混合社区，社区以6-8层楼梯房为主，部分楼栋仍保留20世纪80年代“筒子楼”格局，可见红砖外墙等工业遗风。
