Historie gigaeventů
Vypravte se na krátkou exkurzi do historie jedné z nejvzácnějších ikonek, na jakou je možné při hraní Geocachingu narazit a zároveň si zpříjemněte svou procházku po pražském Podolí.
Geocaching je svým způsobem moderním fenoménem, a jelikož se mu v průběhu let začalo věnovat poměrně velké množství lidí, vyvstala potřeba odlišení těch skutečně největších akcí. I proto byl v roce 2014 představen úplně nový typ eventu, a to gigaevent. Zatímco podmínkou pro získání statusu megaeventu je zapotřebí alespoň 500 návštěvníků, respektive 300 přihlášených hráčů, u gigaeventů je laťka nastavena o kus výše, a to na 5000 a více návštěvníků, respektive 3000 přihlášených hráčů.
Vůbec prvním gigaeventem na světě se stal Project MUNICH2014 - Mia San Giga!, který se odehrál v srpnu 2014. První český gigaevent GREAT MORAVIA 2017 se uskutečnil o tři roky později, v září 2017. Na úvodních souřadnicích tohoto letterboxu pak budete stát před vstupem do areálu Žlutých lázní, kde se v květnu roku 2022 konal, po posunu, první pražský gigaevent 20 Years of Geocaching Prague 2020 – Edition 2022., který byl zároveň i největší geocachingovou událostí roku 2022 a též i od roku 2019. No a v rámci oslav 25. výročí vzniku Geocachingu se pak ve Žlutých lázních odehrál druhý pražský gigaevent, 25 Years of Geocaching – Prague 2025, při jehož konání byla publikována i tato keška.
V současné době se gigaeventy konaly pouze ve čtyřech zemích na světě, a to v Česku, Německu, Spojených státech a Kanadě, přičemž v době publikace této keše bylo jen 13 gigaeventů celosvětově.
Jak najít kešku
Jak název letterboxu a předešlé povídání napovídají, je tato keška věnována historii gigaeventů, přičem abyste si ji mohli zalogovat, musíte se stát, alespoň na chvilku, geocachingovými archeology a zjistit pár informací z gigaeventové historie. Jakmile zjistíte vše potřebné, dozvíte se souřadnice postupové stage, odkud už to budeme mít k finální krabičce jen malý kousek.

Finále:
Dojděte na souřadnce stage a zde se pořádně rozhlédněte. Protože jde o letterbox, můžete své navigační přístoroje pro tuto chvíli uklidit. Na severozápadním rohu domu můžete na fasádě vidět kromě dvou červených cedulí s názvy ulic i několik modrých obdélníkových tabulek. Spočítejte tyto malé modré tabulky a vyrazte pro kešku!
Je-li modrých tabulek 5, vydejte se ulicí v jižním směru cca 35 metrů a pak hledejte vlevo v rohu nad zídkou v břečťanu.
Je-li modrých tabulek 8, vydejte se ulicí ve východním směru cca 105 metrů a pak hledejte pod schody.
Je-li modrých tabulek 11, vydejte se ulicí v západním směru cca 95 metrů a pak hledejte u dopravní značky.
The history of Giga-Events
Take a short excursion into the history of one of the rarest icons you can come across while playing Geocaching and at the same time enjoy your walk around Prague's Podolí district.
Geocaching is somewhat of a modern phenomenon, and as a relatively large number of people have taken up the sport over the years, there has been a need to differentiate the really big events. That is why in 2014 a completely new type of event was introduced, the Giga-Events. While the requirement for Mega-Event status is at least 500 visitors or 300 registered players, the bar for Giga-Events is set a bit higher, at 5000 or more visitors or 3000 registered players.
The very first Giga-Event in the world was Project MUNICH2014 - Mia San Giga!, which took place in August 2014. The first Giga-Event in Czechia GREAT MORAVIA 2017 took place three years later, in September 2017. At the initial coordinates of this letterbox you will then stand in front of the entrance to the Žluté lázně (Yellow Spa) area, where the first Prague Giga-Event 20 Years of Geocaching Prague 2020 - Edition 2022 took place in May 2022, which was also the biggest Geocaching event of 2022 and also from 2019. As part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Geocaching, the second Prague Giga-Event, 25 Years of Geocaching - Prague 2025, took place in Žluté lázně (Yellow Spa), during which this cache was published.
Currently, Giga-Events have only been held in four countries in the world, namely the Czechia, Germany, the United States and Canada, while at the time of the publication of this cache there were only 13 Giga-Events worldwide.
How to find the cache
As the name of the letterbox and the previous story suggest, this cache is dedicated to the history of Giga-Events, and to be able to log it, you have to become, at least for a while, "geocaching archeologists" and find out some information from the Giga-Events history. Once you've found out everything you need, you'll learn the coordinates of the progression stage, from where it's just a short walk to the final box.

Final cache:
Get to the coordinates of the stage and take a good look around. Since this is a letterbox, you can put your navigation devices away for now. On the northwest corner of the house, you can see several blue rectangular signs on the facade, in addition to two red street name signs. Count these little blue signs and go for the cache!
If there are 5 blue rectangular signs, head south along the street for about 35 metres and then look on the left side above wall in the bush.
If there are 8 blue rectangular signs, head east along the street for about 105 metres and then look under the stairs.
If there are 11 blue rectangular signs, head down the street in a westerly direction for approximately 95 metres and then look for a road sign.
