Thursday – April 10 – 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
--Welcome to the Ashtabula County Meet and Greet. This monthly event moves around Ashtabula County and is hosted by various local (& non-local) cachers. Everyone is welcome. If you are a new cacher, attending one of these events is a great way to meet some of the friendliest people around. And they can answer most any question you may have about geocaching, directions, other events, etc.
--It is not required that you order anything...however, keep in mind that purchases are the responsibility of each cacher.
--This month, we will be at the Covered Bridge Pizza Parlor & Eatery at Rte. 193, North Kingsville, Ohio.
--About this Pizza Parlor...FYI... “Built in 1862, the Foreman Road Bridge (Eagleville, Ohio) was the oldest known covered bridge in Ohio that spanned an entire 126 feet & was constructed from 55 tons of local lumber. In 1972, Ashtabula County decided to replace the bridge and sold it to the highest bidder for $5.00. It was dismantled and put in storage for 3 years. One half of the old Foreman Road Bridge was used to construct the dining area in this pizza parlor...using only the original wood. The other half of the building was used in the construction of the Covered Bridge Pizza Parlor II in Andover.” (from the back of the take out menu)
--This Ashtabula County event moves around the county each month. This is an easy destination if you're from Cleveland, Erie, Youngstown or even if you happen to be passing through the area. Feel free to come out and meet other cachers...talk with friends...make new friends... trade/discover travel bugs & coins...have a bite to eat or something to drink...but most of all, have a good time. This is a great time to put faces to the names you see on logs.
--Event starts at 5:30 PM. and ends at approximately 8 PM. and you can arrive early or any time in between. New people are always welcome! Hope to see you all in April!
