La Parrocchia dei Santi Nazaro e Celso sorge nel cuore di Calcinate del Pesce, una piccola frazione di Varese adagiata sulle rive del Lago di Varese. Immersa in un contesto naturale suggestivo, la chiesa si inserisce armoniosamente in un paesaggio fatto di acque placide, canneti e colline morbide, dove il tempo sembra scorrere con un ritmo più lento e sereno.
L’edificio sacro, dalla facciata sobria e accogliente, custodisce al suo interno un’atmosfera raccolta, perfetta per il raccoglimento e la preghiera. Le sue volte e gli affreschi raccontano una storia di devozione antica, legata ai martiri Nazaro e Celso, figure di grande rilevanza nella tradizione cristiana. Il suono delle campane si diffonde dolcemente sulle acque del lago, accompagnando le giornate della comunità e creando un legame indissolubile tra fede e natura.
La vicinanza al lago dona alla parrocchia un fascino unico. Qui, il sacro e il paesaggio si fondono in un equilibrio perfetto: la chiesa diventa un punto di riferimento non solo per i fedeli, ma anche per chi cerca un angolo di pace lontano dal caos cittadino. Passeggiando lungo la riva, tra gli alberi e i riflessi d’acqua, è facile lasciarsi avvolgere da una sensazione di tranquillità, mentre la sagoma della chiesa si staglia con discrezione sullo sfondo.

La Cache è stata nascosta da me insieme alla mia amica Eleutheria28 in occasione di un passaggio durante il trail del lago, lei conosce mooooooolto bene il posto. Per me era solo una scritta sulla mappa.

The church, with its simple and welcoming facade, creates a peaceful atmosphere inside, perfect for reflection and prayer. Its vaulted ceilings and frescoes tell the story of the ancient devotion to the martyrs Nazarius and Celsus, important figures in Christian tradition. The sound of the bells gently spreads over the lake’s waters, accompanying the community’s days and establishing an inseparable bond between faith and nature.
The proximity to the lake gives the parish a unique charm. Here, the sacred and the landscape merge in perfect harmony: the church becomes not only a place of worship but also a peaceful retreat for those seeking an escape from the bustle of city life. Strolling along the shore, among trees and water reflections, it’s easy to be enveloped by a sense of tranquility, with the church’s silhouette rising discreetly in the background.

The cache was hidden by me together with my friend Eleutheria28 during a stop along the lake trail. She knows the place veeeeeeery well. For me, it was just a name on the map.
