Geocache Description:

Sometimes life gets in the way of fun and games.  That has been my story lately, and my lack of active caching.  Well, time to make amends and get going again!  Hmm, how can I give back to the community?

Of course, by creating some new puzzles, everyone’s favorite cache type, to solve and then find. However, my brain is too old and decrepit to be that creative.  Time to do something I did not think I would ever do again, refer to my interaction with Jenk Porkins. That’s right, time to hire a service to do my dirty work for me.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, I only had 5 people enter my contest.  This made judging the ‘winners’ a whole lot easier.  This is the saga of one of those winning contestants.

I traveled off to the north side of Holland to a local chain coffee shoppe.  All I knew was that I was there to meet a lady named Jennifer.  I was ten minutes before our agreed-upon time, so I ordered myself a latte and grabbed an empty table to wait.

Right on time a middle-aged woman walked in and began looking around.  I assumed this was Jennifer and approached, asking as such.  I was right.  She ordered a house coffee and we settled in to talk “business.”

“I’m sorry Mr. fanugler, but I only have about 20 minutes before I need to get to work.”

“No worries, Jennifer, I guess we can cut right to the chase.  You briefly described your idea for a puzzle in your email entry, but I’m still a bit perplexed.”

“Well, this is the final product of what I have created for you.”  She then dug out a piece of paper from her purse, unfolded it, and set it on the table for me to see.

“I’m sorry, I’m still not understanding.  It’s just sets of pictures.  You realize that cache coordinates are numbers, right?”

“That sir, is the beauty of it.  I have based this puzzle on my job as a housekeeper.  I see plenty of messes and messy things in my line of work.  Don’t even get me started about the things kids and pets can leave behind.  Some might even consider me an expert in the field.”

“Uh huh”

“Well, all your friends need to do is figure out which object is the messier of the two and the puzzle will be solved.  Voila!”  With that, she made a hand gesture as if she had an imaginary wand.

“Uh, huh.”  Yet again, I was flummoxed.  What have I gotten myself into? Perhaps contracting my puzzles out just isn’t working out, I thought.

“Oh, look at the time, I must get going.  Thank you for the opportunity to share a little bit about me with this contest of yours.  Good luck.”

I was still in a bit of dazed confusion and could only respond with “Uh huh.”  She was out the door and in her car before I had my bearings about me again.
