25 Jahre Geocaching – Eine Schatzsuche der besonderen Art Vor 25 Jahren, am 3. Mai 2000, wurde ein einfacher Behälter mit einem Logbuch in den Wäldern von Oregon versteckt – und damit der Grundstein für eine weltweite Bewegung gelegt: Geocaching war geboren. Was damals als Experiment begann, ist heute ein globales Hobby mit Millionen von Teilnehmern in über 190 Ländern. Geocaching verbindet moderne Technik mit Abenteuerlust, Naturerlebnis und einer großen Portion Entdeckergeist. Ausgestattet mit GPS-Gerät oder Smartphone machen sich Menschen jeden Alters auf die Suche nach „Caches“ – kleinen Schätzen, die in der Natur oder im urbanen Raum versteckt sind. Die Regeln sind einfach: Man sucht, findet, loggt – und versteckt den Cache wieder für die Nächsten. In den letzten 25 Jahren hat sich Geocaching rasant weiterentwickelt. Was einst mit simplen Filmdosen begann, hat sich zu einer vielfältigen und kreativen Welt mit Mystery-, Multi-, EarthCaches und Events entwickelt. Eine große Gemeinschaft von Gleichgesinnten ist entstanden, Freundschaften wurden geschlossen, Familien zusammengebracht und unzählige Abenteuer erlebt. Heute, nach einem Vierteljahrhundert Geocaching, blicken wir auf 25 Jahre voller Abenteuer, Rätsel, Naturerlebnisse und unvergesslicher Momente zurück. Und das Beste: Die Reise ist noch lange nicht zu Ende. Happy Geocaching – auf die nächsten 25 Jahre!

Die Umgebung Entlang des Ohlendieksredder führt ein Spazierweg am Golfplatz vorbei, wo man bei schönem Wetter die Golfer beim Abschlag oder beim Schieben ihrer Trolleys beobachten kann. Oder man genießt einfach die Natur und schaut den Geocachern beim Angeln zu.

Das Rätsel Die Koordinaten erhaltet ihr nach dem Lösen dieses kleinen Puzzles.

25 years of geocaching - a unique kind of treasure hunt 25 years ago, on 3 May 2000, a simple container with a logbook was hidden in the forests of Oregon - laying the foundation for a worldwide movement: Geocaching was born. What began as an experiment is now a global hobby with millions of participants in over 190 countries. Geocaching combines modern technology with a thirst for adventure, an experience of nature and a large portion of the spirit of discovery. Equipped with a GPS device or smartphone, people of all ages set off in search of ‘caches’ - small treasures hidden in nature or in urban areas. The rules are simple: you search, find, log - and hide the cache again for the next person. Geocaching has developed rapidly over the last 25 years. What once began with simple film canisters has developed into a diverse and creative world of mystery, multi and earth caches and events. A large community of like-minded people has developed, friendships have been made, families brought together and countless adventures experienced. Today, after a quarter of a century of geocaching, we can look back on 25 years of adventures, puzzles, nature experiences and unforgettable moments. And the best thing is: the journey is far from over. Happy geocaching - here's to the next 25 years!

The surrounding area Along the Ohlendieksredder, a footpath leads past the golf course, where you can watch golfers teeing off or pushing their trolleys in fine weather. Or you can simply enjoy nature and watch the geocachers fishing.
