Varnikų pažintinis takas – tai beveik 4 km ilgio žiedinis maršrutas, vingiuojantis per įspūdingą Varnikų draustinį, vos keli žingsniai nuo Trakų. Daugiau nei pusę kelio eisite medinėmis lentelėmis nutiestu taku per Ilgelio pelkę, kur galėsite grožėtis unikaliu aukštapelkės kraštovaizdžiu, nesušlapdami kojų. Tako pažiba – apžvalgos aikštelė, nuo kurios atsiveria kerintis vaizdas į pelkę. Likusi maršruto dalis veda per ąžuolyną, kuriame nevykdoma ūkinė veikla, tad čia tvyro tikra laukinės gamtos ramybė. Pakeliui jūsų laukia 10 informacinių stendų apie pelkės gyvūniją ir augaliją, o kryžkelėse maršrutą nurodys medinės rodyklės. Norintiems atsikvėpti, tako pradžioje, pabaigoje ir pakeliui įrengtos poilsiavietės su suoliukais. Tai puiki vieta pabėgti nuo kasdienės rutinos ir pasinerti į gamtos harmoniją.

The Varnikai Nature Trail is a circular route almost 4 km long, winding through the spectacular Varnikai Nature Reserve, just a few steps from Trakai. For more than half of the route, you'll follow a wooden boardwalk through the Ilgelis Swamp, where you'll be able to admire the unique landscape of the high moorland without getting your feet wet. The highlight of the trail is the lookout point, which offers an enchanting view of the marsh. The rest of the route passes through an oak woodland, which is free of farming activities, so it is truly a wilderness. Along the way, you will find 10 information boards about the fauna and flora of the marsh, and wooden signposts at the crossroads to show you the route. For those who want to take a break, there are rest areas with benches at the beginning, at the end of the trail and along the way. This is a great place to escape the daily routine and immerse yourself in the harmony of nature.
