And now...
Wisconsin Dells is home to many out-of-place curiosities, especially those derived from long-forgotten attractions. The giant red shoe is just one example of an oddity that's out-of-place, and it's currently located in Beaver Springs Fishing Park.
The backstory on the giant red shoe is that it was probably a concrete fixture in Enchanted Forest/Prehistoric Land, an attraction that spanned from the 1960's-80's and occupied the area west of the highway 23 bridge heading to downtown Wisconsin Dells, where Timber Falls Adventure Golf is currently located. After Enchanted Forest/Prehistoic Land shut down in the late 80's, its fixtures were sold off- but whatever couldn't be sold, got moved out into more remote terrain. This is probably how the giant red shoe ended up here, just off of Trout Road. Its bright red color is easily visible even in the summer months. In the winter, the shoe just pops from its surrounding canvas of snow-covered trees and field.

Again: The cache is located not far from the road and is a fairly easy park-n-grab. Please only view the giant red shoe from the road or sidewalk, as the shoe itelf is located on private property. This may be a challenge in the summer months, as the area itself can become quite overgrown- but that is the compromise that needs to be respected or the cache will have to be archived.
