[PT] Esta cache tem como objetivo promover os Baldios de Vilarinho.
Esta infraestrutura designa-se Avenida Padilha em homenagem a António Manuel Ferreira Padilha, indivíduo com grande relevância local, é uma via que vai além de sua função de acessibilidade, correspondendo a um marco de proteção e história.
Originalmente concebida para servir de via de passagem, serve ainda como corta-fogo, pela descontinuidade de combustíveis. Segundo a Carta Administrativa Oficial de Portugal, esta atua como linha divisória entre duas freguesias (Vilarinho e Serpins), simbolizando não apenas a separação geográfica, mas também a união de comunidades que beneficiam da existência desta infraestrutura.
Ao passar nesta avenida, percebe-se que, pelo declive acentuado, a segurança ambiental poderia estar comprometida se a mesma não existisse, daí ter-se criado um espaço pensado para mitigar riscos e preservar a integridade das áreas circundantes. Aqui, revela-se um pouco da dedicação em proteger a floresta existente, ao mesmo tempo honra-se a identidade local e a convivência harmoniosa entre as comunidades locais e outras entidades.
O local desta cache partilha a dupla missão de dividir e defender esta “Avenida” assumida como uma verdadeira peça de cuidado comunitário. Ao descer, vai dar ao lugar de Cabanões.
[EN] The aim of this cache is to promote the Baldios de Vilarinho.
This infrastructure is called Avenida Padilha in honour of António Manuel Ferreira Padilha, an individual of great local importance. It is a road that goes beyond its accessibility function, corresponding to a landmark of protection and history.
Originally designed to serve as a thoroughfare, it also serves as a firebreak, due to the discontinuity of fuels. According to the Official Administrative Chart of Portugal, it acts as a dividing line between two parishes (Vilarinho and Serpins), symbolising not only geographical separation, but also the union of communities that benefit from the existence of this infrastructure.
Passing along this avenue, you realise that, due to the steep slope, environmental safety could be compromised if it didn't exist, hence the creation of a space designed to mitigate risks and preserve the integrity of the surrounding areas. Here, a little of the dedication to protecting the existing forest is revealed, while at the same time honouring local identity and the harmonious coexistence between local communities and other entities.
The site of this cache shares the dual mission of dividing and defending this ‘Avenida’, which has been taken on as a true piece of community care. On the way down, you'll reach Cabanões.
