Just a CITO (Not anymore) - The Return
I know, you're confused... A different site, a different project... We'll be working with a new friend with purpose - Web of Life, inconjunction with the City of Port Coquitlam to reclaim this portion of the trail. We'll be cutting down (only!) Himalayan blackberry brambles and Scotch broom. No digging out of roots required. Garbage collection along this route will also be very much a task... No "arts and crafts table" set up today.. I have a limited amount of Dollarama work gloves and pruners. If you have something stronger to use, please bring them by... Web of Life voluntarily works to clean up old homesteads, abandonned homeless camps, or any site that they see and want to reclaim from human interference. They clean up, remove invasives, place masonbee nests, replant and leave wildlife seeds and natural pine cones to reseed the areas. I hope to partner with them on various CITO projects! This is our second work party at this site. We'll continue from where we ended last time. It was going to be "Just a CITO" without after event or pub lunch. But holy I got some distension in the ranks! LOL. I've added an event to be published, and pub lunch is on! This is just a cut and pile and bring to the trail head kind of CITO. No digging of roots allowed at this site. If you have an old tarp to bring, pruners and work gloves, it woudl be helpful. I have counted and have 17 sets. Awesome when I run out, but last time I actually did! That's great, but don't want scratched up hands! Thanks for coming to reclaim this space!
So: CITO 10:00-11:30
Event 11:30-12:00
Pub lunch (unofficial event) 12ish onwards...

We know how to remove invasives!!!
