CITO 2025 : Season 1
Attend a CITO between 1st March - 31st May to gain the souvenir
🌳🌿 TREE CARE ALONG THE FARM TRACK HEDGE AT HORSBERE 🌿🌳
This CITO event is set to last for 3 hours and some attendees like to stay for the entire session, however this is not an obligation.
Please feel free to turn up whenever is convenient and just stay as long as you wish.
Parking: Parking is available at the main entrance to Horsbere Reserve (see waypoint Parking area / Meet-up point).
Where: Meet up by the main gates at 09:30 or if arriving later come and find us working along the track hedge near CITO coordinates.
What: Join us as we give some much-needed care to the young trees of the hedgerow. This will include removing brambles, crown-lifting the standard trees, removing tree guards and generally looking after the trees, helping the hedgerow to become established.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to please bring your own work gloves if possible and if you wish to use your own tools (secateurs, shears) please do so. Don't worry if you don't have tools as the Ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please think about bringing a drink and/or snack for breaktime. Homemade cake will be provided 🙂
